This book is intended to be a visual reminder of the magic that is Saint John's Church and Retreat Center, and Specifically to honor the 25th Anniversary of the dedication of the Temple of the Golden Rose.
From Jean's original vision of the Temple to the fundraising, to the white bricks, purple carpet and beautiful stained glass, to the great bronze sun-burst doors, the Temple of the Golden Rose has served wonderfully as a point of emphasis of White Eagle's presence.
As the Americas corner of the world wide triangle of White Eagle Temples, along with the Mother Lodge at New Lands in England and our sister location in Maleny, Australia, the Temple represents The Church of the White Eagle Lodge for the people of both American continents. As such, it has hosted friends and family from around the globe.
From the grand party held at the Dedication in 1992 through all the years of services, retreats and celebrations, the Temple is our (white) brick-and-mortar symbol of White Eagle's religion of happiness.
And while the building itself is beautiful, and provides memories for us all, the real beauty lies in the hearts and souls of all the people involved with the Center, whether working here, on retreat, visiting, or simply honoring its presence from afar. Bless you all, and thank you for all of your contributions over the years.
